Yeah, some alarm bells definitely going off - mainly due to the fact that he clearly isn't actually using water even though he repeatedly refers to his solutions as such, and this jargony sounding explanation:
"This video shows you how to make a substance that,in contact with the air, looses its polar ability and sticks to itself, transforming into solid water spheres."
Oh, and the horrible, horrible editing/music/font.
My bet is that he just has a bunch of marbles in the solution that have the same index of refraction as the solution, and so can't be seen until he takes them out.
