I hate hippies, dumb valley girls, muscle head dudes, hipsters, and country music

No real rational reason why, I am just instantly on edge and annoyed whenever I am in the presence of these
I hope you don't live in a big city because that list only leaves you with overweight nerds and soccer moms to not be annoyed all the time.  :D

I cannot bring myself to walk under a ladder.

If I can avoid it, I don't either. And it's totally logical, no need to invoke superstition: things do fall from ladders.
Yeah, me too. I try to avoid walking under them, and I use the same excuse as GI :P

To the vinyl vs. CD thing: Bad choice. There is no question that vinyl has distortion and noise. There is also no doubt that at least some of the vinyl distortions, in moderation, can exagerate dynamic range and create some spatial sensation due to L-R enhancement from the way many styluses work.

And some people like that. It's not illogical. Preference of that sort is inviolate.

Srsly.
I prefer vinyl for the experience and sometimes the "vibe" of the sound. I love mp3s for the portability. Imagine having to master the SGU podcast every week onto a large vinyl disc you could only then listen to on a stereophonic home system? Whoa, man.
The interesting thing to me was how certain low frequency instruments like bass and kick drum had to be mono and compressed and high pass filtered a certain way to keep the needle in the grooves. There is a whole obsolete technology in recording and mastering music that we still use in digital due to analog limitations. Mostly because that's how we all grew up hearing it and prefer it that way.

Actually I could come up with a lot of reasons why hiking is better than the treadmill - first and foremost: You don't have to stare at a wall the time. This is the main reason I cant stand fitness-studios - its just soo repetitive and boring.

On the other hand, I can not come up with a reason, that would allow me to eat  mammals, or similarly advanced creatures. They definately feel pain, some can probably even be afraid just like a human. So I'm causing real suffering by sticking to my diet.
I can live a perfectly healthy live without meat....but....I like the taste of dead animals  :-\

And usually I'm a pretty cerebral person - so, this is really a huge  inconsistency for me.

I really like books. Paper books. None of this ebook shit.

I bought a leather wallet recently.. I can't think of a good reason to have gotten a leather one specifically. I don't know that I'm okay with it though.. plays on my mind.

I don't think any personal preferences (records, paperback books, etc.,) can be illogical, they're just preferences.

I think that if you bury your victims with their head down and their feet up it will cause the ninjas to give up lent.

Do they give up lent for lent?

If you do it right they give up both Lent and Fat Tuesday.

I see all kinds of good evidence a vegetarian diet is the best, for both health and the health of the planet. But I still love Five Guys.

As a long time resident of Washington DC, you're welcome.  I'm pretty sure my non-stop patronage of that joint helped them expand around the continent.....
Well.  There it is.

My grandfather has officially banned them from the 'restaurant list' because they apparently don't serve coffee. True story.

I've now gone there twice and am on the verge of banning them on account of a small order of fries being equal to approximately 26 potatoes. Yes, I could always just stop eating them but I can't stop eating them.
