Ghost hunters and specially trained animals
« on: Apr 08, 2012, 06:01:47 AM »
We all know that Ghost Hunters believe that electromagnetic anomalies signify ghosts. And we know that platypuses are sensitive to electromagnetic disturbances - they use it to locate prey. So, the natural question becomes: could Ghost Hunters use specially trained platypuses to detect underwater ghosts? Has anyone tried this?

I think sharks have some level of this as well. Theyd get better TV ratings with sharks.

But can you train sharks? Aren't they pretty stupid?

I dont think platypuses are very bright either... when they have them in zoos they cant even get them to wake up when visitors can see them, half the time.

Also, dont homing pidgeons navigate by electromagnetism? You could train some pigdeons to fly around and poop when they detect something. Or something.

Well, that goes for cats as well. And if you call cats stupid I'll have to ask you to step outside.

You can't really have a sensitive system in air because of physics which I have forgotten.
