While we're talking about zombified Roddenberry concepts; how about Earth: Final Conflict?

the first season of that show was very good, the second was still decent after they retooled the concept a little.  Fell apart after that.

I'd love a roddenberryesque show on the air, even if it is something not connected to him directly.

I watched it and...presumably...liked it. but I don't remember it going anywhere. ...unlike something like V, where you get more in one season than in the entire series of Lost.

Just thought of another one that could use a reboot: Andromeda.

From what I hear it was originally intended to be a show about the last Federation Starship thrown into a post federation Galaxy. I can see that as a fascinating take on Star Trek as well.

Andromeda was originally supposed to focus on Trance as the main story character. She was supposed to play a much greater role.


I would love to see the series rebooted, but who would replace Sorbo? I love Sorbo.

I don't know if this counts as a full reboot but I would like to see them go back to the first Stargate film and create film sequels to that movie and ignore the TV series canon and take the characters and universe into an entirely different direction with a bigger more epic Hollywood budget.

They've talked aboit doing just that but I think it's been stalled for now.  The creator envisioned a trilogy originally apparently.

Highlander - I never enjoyed this series, but it seemed like I would have. I guess the acting didn't draw me in.

TV Shows:
Forever Knight
Twin Peaks - Sort of blasphemous, but I just think it could be done better given current production / writing techniques. So much of the original series drags. It could be way more convoluted, keeping the original weirdness.

I liked the legend of the seeker show in the  first season, but it fell apart in season 2.  I think it would have greatly benefited from better acting.  That was easily the worst part of the show.

I'd like to see a Jurassic Park reboot, with less children and anatomically correct dinosaurs. It could even be a George Lucas-esque remake, as long as I get some feathered raptors and correctly positioned hands.

The first movie was ok, but I loved the show.  Probably really dated now though.  Still, they are actually rebooting the movies though.  It's a ways off but the attached director is Justin Lin and the rumored lead is Ryan Reynolds (ugh...) but no actors have been signed as far as I've heard.

I would like to see the movie "The Truman Show" re-made. I really thought the concept was cool, but, I was a bit disappointed when I left the theater. I thought that the ideas behind the concept were not fully explored. It's been a decade since I saw it, so I don't remember my exact gripe with the movie, but I just seam to remember that the movie did not go far enough.
