Dr Oz & Vitamins

I don't know how to go on this one. There is
Quote
Ideally, we'd get all the vitamins we need from foods we eat, but few of us actually do.
. It's my understanding that it's the opposite.

But... Then there is
Quote
choose one(multivitamin) that supplies 100 percent of your daily allowance, and avoid megadosing.
, which isn't unreasonable if unnessisary.

He also says
Quote
You may want to take 600 milligrams of calcium for bones, 400 milligrams of magnesium, and 1000 IU of vitamin d3.

I listened to the skeptically speaking with the pharmacist talking vitamins a while back, but I don't really remember the bottom line. I think he said that there seemed to be initial evidence that we might want to take d.

It's like he stays just reasonable enough that people think he is a "real" doctor.

His video is even better. It mentions that some vitamins are toxic at high doses.

the diet of most americans is so bad that if not for fortification of foods combined with overeating, most people probably would need vitamins.  But those things do exist.

He has to make up for that psychic episode somehow.
