Mr. Dressup (like a Canadian Mr. Rogers, only better)
Sesame Street (specifically Ernie and Bert)
The Friendly Giant
Star Trek TOS (the reruns were exciting, they were suitable for children, and they were on every day after school)
Today's Special: A Canadian kid's show about a store mannequin who comes to life
The Beachcombers
Danger Bay: A marine biologist and his two kids have adventures near Vancouver.
The Raccoons: Animated - gentle forest dwellers vs. a greedy industrialist
The Edison Twins: This teenage brother and sister solved crime and other problems with science.
Knight Rider
The Mighty Hercules (reruns of the 1960s animated show)
Fraggle Rock

I remember watching reruns of animated series like the Flintstones, the Jetsons, Bugs Bunny, and the 1967 Spider-man, but I don't think I was as young as I was when I saw Hercules.

When I was three, I don't recall the name of the cartoon variety show but one of them was Paddington Bear. I vaguely recall aspects of some cartoons - in one he was in a baby stroller, and they were discussing yellow. In another he went to France.

Growing up in Detroit, I watched a lot of Canadian shows. The Polka Dot Door and the aforementioned Mr. Dressup and the Friendly Giant. Can't forget Captain Kangaroo either or the New Zoo Review. Born in '67

Anyone remember Woody Woodpecker?
Nobody these days holds the written word in such high esteem as police states do.  What statistic allows one to identify the Nations where Literature enjoys true consideration better than the sums appropriated for controlling and suppressing it.

Anyone remember Woody Woodpecker?

I do, but not until we moved to the US. The earliest TV show I remember liking here was the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.

How about the first color tv shows? For me it was The Wonderful World of Disney and Bonanza. My parents domino playing friends had a color tv. I also remember Ed Sullivan and Captain Kangaroo.

Do you recall Hot Fudge? (I think that was its name.)

Dr Who (Jon Pertwee)
and Star Trek TOS  for me, which is why I have a soft spot for the James Cawley Phase II stuff even though I don't think the stories are very good.

My kids grew up with Mr. Dressup, which we received here in the US thanks to cable. One of the better kids shows.
If you still hold the same views now as you did in high school, you probably should reexamine those views.

Yes, I do remember Hot Fudge. One of the puppets was named Seymore?

Anyone remember Woody Woodpecker?

And Chilly Willy, little penguin. He had segments during the Woody Wood Pecker Show. I can't remember if he was cruel or not. I remember a bear.

My dad always watched the news in the evening, so the Nightly News with John Chancellor.   Also Emergency!, and Looney Tunes cartoons.  How about Wonderama?

The earliest shows I can remember were -

Villa Alegre!

Oddly I barely remember the show itself, but I could probably rebuild that little model town from memory.

You know what is weird. My kids will never have this experience. They do not have shared TV shows that they watch with their peers. And shows for them are unstuck from a specific time period. Dr. Who with John Pertwee will be in their childhood as much as the original Scooby Doo and Avatar the last Airbender cartoon
“Tiger got to hunt, bird got to fly;
Man got to sit and wonder 'why, why, why?'
Tiger got to sleep, bird got to land;
Man got to tell himself he understand.”
