Downtown Abbey is fantastic! (And I usually hate period stuff)

I was always sceptical with a c about Downton Abbey, but I've heard some good things about it, I suppose I'll check it out. ;)

We just started DT, and are up to episode #3. So far, so good.
If you still hold the same views now as you did in high school, you probably should reexamine those views.

OK.. so review of episode 5 (only very mild spoilers)

They broke up the formula a little bit. This time we follow a guard rather than a prisoner. Other than that the plot line is very similar. Slightly more reveal about what's going on, but not enough to make me care to any large degree.

Because they changed it up a tiny bit I'll watch 6. I say this every week, but unless episode 6 shows me something interesting I'm giving up. For real this time.

Sat down to watch this week's episode, and I just couldn't do it. I'm done.

Give it a second chance. Some of violence (ie dogs being blown up by a land mine) is a bit much, but Sam Neil's character is growing more interesting of late. (ie he shoots the land mine bastard in the leg whilst in custody)

*We're about half way through Season 2 and are still enjoying Fringe, though it does go a little off the tracks from time to time.

Prepare to be disappointed. Last week was the first self contained, non-series arch episode in months. It was an excellent episode, but I expect they'll return to the boring universeseses crap right away.

I agree about DA. Just finished Series One.

I didn't think season 2 of DA was quite as good as the first, but still good.

Its not looking good for Alcatraz - all the 63s have high blood levels of collodal silver.  So the other big mystery is why there skin colour isn't blue.

For anyone looking for something better to watch try the UK series 'Misfits' or the NZ series 'The Almighty Johnsons' - warning, these shows are not suitable for the kiddies.

Did anyone else notice the recreation of the car chase from 'Bullitt' in the season finale of 'Alcatraz'? They even passed the same green VW Beetle a few times.
