Thanks for the podcast and the community! 28 seconds I think that's a new record!

Shooting Stars

Ha! I've tried to convince someone of that possibility, and now I have an astronaut backing me up. Thanks!!

(A few weeks behind I admit)

THANK YOU Rebecca for your sloth themed Science of Fiction  - the first (and probably the only) SOF where I was 100% certain which item was the fiction. Surprised no one knew about the algae which grows on the sloth...... wildlife geek???

Probably one of the few mammals more awesome than the sloth is the naked mole rat - they're just the most unusual animals. First of all they're naked, their teeth grow on the outside of their lips, they live in eusocial communities with a 'queen' mole rat who produces the offspring and worker mole rats, they are very long lived for their size (> 20 years sometimes), I have also read articles which report that they are insensitive to chemical pain, and are highly resistant to cancer.......plus they are darn ugly looking things, which only makes them more appealing, no cutsie fuzz.  ;)
