I listen to a lot of music while I'm working out, and sometimes my mind tends to wander and I start thinking funny things.  I'll start with one I posted on facebook today.

1. I don't know if it's the warm weather, the sunshine, or the fact that I actually am a badass, but goddamn I feel like a badass right now.

2. Note to self: do not wear grey cotton pants to work out at the gym. You will sweat massively in your crotch and you will look like you pissed yourself. Bonus: you won't notice until you get in front of the mirror at the very end of your 1.5 hour workout to do your last set. At least I had a change of clothes to walk home in.

One day, someone gave me a container of muscle milk that they didn't want.  I was belching that shit up for 5 hours.  I had the taste of sugar or something sweet in the back of my throat that other meals couldn't squelch.  WTF.

I spent my core workout yesterday thinking I wasn't accomplishing anything.  I couldn't get any of my muscles to tire out and at the end, I picked up a much heavier weight to knock out one more set on my sides and lower back.  I think I must be crazy because today I hurt like mad.

I realized that this week is the last week I'm going to be able to use the gym at work to work out at all unless I wake up an hour early... and frankly I don't want to do that as I'm already not getting home from classes until 10:30-11. And, because I haven't been able to work out regularly, my muscles is too sore from Monday to do much today...  :-[

I don't want to run today.  We run four days a week, but I just don't want to do it so hard.  I don't even want to think about it.

So we'll frame that choice in a more productive way:  Will I be a self-reliant, self-controlling, self-improving member of the most multi-capable species in the known universe, or will I be a shitty, whiny child that everyone knows better than to expect something from?

I'm going for my run.

Why the hell is my first workout after the first decent sleep in weeks so often complete shit? Seems counter-intuitive to me. Conversely, often when I've had an atrocious night's rest, my workouts are amazing.
