Acupuncture and COPD

I'm still digesting and re-reading this article but on the surface it seems legitimate.  From what I can tell the journal is reputable and, on initial reading, it seems procedurally rigorous.

Please tell me what I've missed...

My dad died of complications of COPD (which is newspeak for emphysema) last year. It's not really a "pain" type illness that you'd expect acupuncture to have any effect on. This is... interesting, although I agree that I'm MASSIVELY skeptical that acupuncture has any effect on anything objective.
