i doubt anyone is looking at this thread any longer but i had a mistake in the episode to point out. i really love randi but he mentioned something about dead crewmen on the sunken ship, the vasa, having been pickled in salt water. i was curious about this but could not find any reliable source confirming this. what i did find however, was that a number of dead crewmens' skeletons were discovered but they were not "pickled" as such. this information comes directly from the museum website on a page about the probably victims of the sinking: http://www.vasamuseet.se/en/Exhibitions/Face-to-face/

He got almost everyone he said about the Vasa wrong. Back in those days there was no science about ship stability, everything was passed down from master to apprentice; the gun ports weren't underwater when it left port.
