There is no such thing as an ex-murderer. Once a murderer, always a murderer. You may not do it again, but that doesn't matter.

According to Christianity, Paul's sins were washed away by baptism so everything he did before he became a Christian doesn't really count anymore but if you live a happy life giving to charity and never committing any crimes but don't believe in God, you're almost as bad as Paul was before he converted.

That is just plain old crazy. How can someone believe that? Why is faith so important to god? If he were to exist he knows right now what evidence I'd need to believe. If he loves me so much why not just give me what I need?

Well, the apostle Paul was an ex-murderer before he saw the light and became a Christian, so it goes with the territory. 

what's an ex-murderer? is that like the people who "killed" Jesus, who then came back to life?
