All I know is my gut says Rachel Nichols is a babe.

To quote from the HuffPo article from the first page:

Quote
9. Aside from the skin-tight suit, don't expect to see Nichols prancing around in sexy little numbers. "Victor gets to do all the fun eye candy stuff [like a shower scene] and I get to kill people!" says Nichols.

Frankly TV sci fi hit rock bottom with their fanservice on Enterprise, so if they deliver on this I am just fine with it.

The synopsis for the next episode mentions that Kiera and Victor were exposed to some rare form of radiation at the collider which requires Sadler to develop futuristic decontamination gel which must be applied to every inch of skin.  Unforutunately Kiera reveals that 65 yeara of human evolution has left women unable to reach their breasts so Victor is forced to begrudgingly do it for her, and he makes sure to not look like he cares.

To everyone who was interested, someone just put the first 3 episodes on Youtube.  Watch them while you can I suppose:

Episode 1

After the first five episodes I am still cautiously optimistic. The writing is good and they seem to be building towards something. Let's hope they aren't making it up as they go along. They still haven't delivered on making the terrorists even seem to have a noble cause. There is a lot of talk about wage slavery and loss of rights ('It's not illegal to wish someone dead' - 'Not yet.'), but very little is actually shown aside from some heavy handed police tactics.

I liked the idea of using grandfather paradoxes as a weapon. It's not a new idea, but it was well executed I thought.

I liked how she started shooting at the car with the pregnant lady inside.

Just caught up on the last two myself.  I'm with you on hoping they aren't making it up as they go along.  Hopefully, they at least have a strict series bible with major plot points worked out already.  Gotta disagree with Liber8 not having a noble cause though.  They haven't spelled it out in detail, but they've made it pretty clear that they are fighting against the gradual suppression of people's rights and freedoms, perpetual debt, and rampant commercialism.  Still, their methods are pretty deplorable and don't make them very sympathetic so hopefully they reveal why they are so willing to do horrible things.

Ditto on the grandfather paradox thing though.

I see this topic is more or less dead.  I just watched all but the last episode of the first season on Netflix - going to watch that last one now.  I know the second season is airing now, but I don't have access to it just yet here in the U.S. (no spoilers unless you've got a link to a place I can watch it!)

Is anyone else still watching it?  I think it's pretty damn good, though certainly not flawless.  I particularly like the devolution from the initially clear-cut distinction between the good guys and the bad guys to the blurred lines of the later episodes.

Missed the last episode but yeah, I've been following it.  Still doing pretty well in my book and while its not the most amazing scifi show ever, they seem to genuinely be doing something really different with the plot and I love that about this show.  If they keep it up and the pay off is good enough, I can see this being a show long remembered and well loved.

At the very least they're handling things nicely.

I feel bad for the regular US audience, though, as the new season hasn't even started here.  Leaves Continuum threads a bit disjointed, too.
Every soup ladled to the hungry, every blanket draped over the cold signifies, in the final sense, a theft from my gigantic paycheck.

Well, there was a sizeable gap between season 1 airing in Canada and it airing in the US.
