Such good acting in this show, it's got so many of my favourite actors. The actor who plays: Sandor is great in The Book Group,  Robb is great in Sirens, and Melisandre is phenomenal in Zwartboek. Charles Dance was in an adaptation of one of my favourite books, Going Postal, and he was so pitch perfect as Vetinari. Peter Dinklage is so funny in Death at a Funeral (2007). I never thought much of Lena Headey in the things I've seen her in (St. Trinian's, 300, The Brother's Grimm), but in Game of Thrones I think she's produced the most impressive acting from the cast. I know I would have different expectations and requirements if I had read the books, but as far as the acting is concerned, this show is a class above everything else.

Lena Headey has quite a foul mouth too. I cracked up a lot while listening to her commentaries on the S1 DVD set.

She keeps referring to joffrey as a shit and how much she and the cast enjoy the ten minute youtube clip of him getting slapped by tyrion on loop.

I assumed that the dragon lady only had one of her guards left. But she seemed to walk off into the sunset with a few more.

mmm, it's interesting, that. ...all the leaders are dead. is she just stealing from them to get enough money for a ship? is she going to try to rule/get allies/make the city somehow useful, or just pillage the whole thing and burn it down?

Yeah, it seems like if there were a power vacuum it would behoove her to take a shot at ruling and acquiring followers and wealth...

Daenerys, Welcome to BadAssia.

Agreed.

But, just you wait......it gets even better.... (sorry, no spoilers)

I've always felt that I would have been a Stannis man......I mean, he's got the legitimate claim to the throne.

If you've gotten the raven with the Jaime/Cersei humpy-humpy message, and believed it that is....
Well.  There it is.

Who was the curly haired guy who had his sister pledged to Joffery? I forget all his part in this.

That's a fun hypothetical. Say you're a hedge knight wondering across Westeros listening to reports of the war of five kingdoms from drunks and town criers, with none of the knowledge of the books or show, who do you offer your services too?

I'd probably believe the rumours that robert baratheon had no legitimate heirs, but neither would I adhere to the line of succession and follow some self righteous hypocrite resorting to dark arts to secure his throne. Rob has proven himself a master tactician, but he's still a boy and a slave to his passion.
Fuck it, I'm off to the dragon lady.

Hmm....

I think Renly would have been my obvious choice: adult, sane, has a good claim to the throne and a large army. After his demise, I'd probably join the Tyrells and see where that gets me. But I wouldn't stay with them if the situation gets too iffy and I would surely sneak away if the dragon lady appeared with her air force.

If we can consider the books, I would join the wildlings in an instant.
There's, another example. See, here I'm now sitting by myself, uh, er, talking to myself. That's, that's chaos.
