Unimportant post so that this thread shows up in my new replies page.

just the other day someone in another thread pointed out that next to the 'reply' button is a 'notify' button which serves this purpose.

However, Godslayer, this way I can see if there are new replies and jump to the latest unread one while doing a frequent browse of the forums. The notify option just sends an email each time there is a new unread reply.

There's, another example. See, here I'm now sitting by myself, uh, er, talking to myself. That's, that's chaos.

I haven't been keeping up with these threads to avoid spoilers so I don't know if this has been discused before, but are Renly and Loras the first major characters in a live-action fantasy TV show who are gay?

She's a lesbian but I'm thinking specifically male couples here.  The closest I can think of is True Blood but I don't know if that's more horror than fantasy.

Well. That narrows the criteria. There just isn't that much pure fantasy on TV. I think Reaper is the best most recent example of a gay married couple - who are also reformed demons.

If you count sci-fi, you could put Torchwood/Dr. Who in there. Also Caprica / BSG.

You know what. Reaper was a pretty good show.

The Game of Thrones TV series is what I wish Warner Bros would have done with Dumbledore's sexuality in the Harry Potter movies.

might be the first live-action fantasy TV show to show doggy-style incest, too.

Agreed. Started off shaky but really found some character towards the end.

The first season of Spartacus on Starz had a pretty major pair of gay men.  One was a gladiator, the other a house slave.  The gladiator was the enforcer of the owner.  He was earning money to buy their freedom so they could make a life together.

Just powered through seasons 1 and 2 and damn this is my new favorite show.  Reading the first book now too and I'm hooked on that as well.  I've also got my wife hooked on it (she NEVER likes what I like), my in-laws. my in-laws' coworkers, and more hooked on it as well.  Personally, I'm rooting for a Dany/Tyrion hook-up to rule the 7 kingdoms.

I'm actually hoping for Dany/Jon Snow myself.......
Well.  There it is.
