More men are raped per year, in the US, then women. It's a fact. One that you and others keep omitting, which is like slut-shaming and being an apologist for rape - no?  At the same time it is irrational for any man to structure their day around their fear of being raped

The numbers aren't quite as clear as you make them out ("it's a fact"), and the vast majority of those sexual assaults on men happen in prison. If you omit those, I bet you that more women are sexually assaulted than men. If we were discussing the situation in US prisons, you might have a point, but we are not. Well that certainly clears things up.

I kind of figured that. But playing devils advocate here one might say that those rapes should not be mitted due to the fact that saying that being in prison and therefore running a higher risk of getting raped is victim blaming. Just as a anyone have the right to dress in a certain way another have the right, or obligation, to be at a certain place. A crime is a crime, to whoever and whenever it is comitted.

Considering that most of the opposition here is male, what if we reversed this and said something along the lines of that one out of six men are for example murdered? Would you not then under such circumstances be worried that you are that one out of six in such a setting? How about the idea that maybe schools should actually start teaching self defense for such? If not, then I may have to congratulate you on your winning of the Darwin Award.

Well, men are 25 times more likely to be murdered than a woman and by far more likely to be the target of any violent act then women. Men are not cowering and begging people take their feelings into account when they leave the house. As it turns out, more men are raped every year then women also.

No he's not, and it is the more sensible the topic is the more important to stop doing what you are doing right now, you try to get your points through by insulting him. Um, I was called a rape apologist for saying Watson over-reacted to an offer of coffee. Get a thicker skin. You actually tried to make male rape ok and play it down. If you did that to women you'd be crucified.
