Deodorant on the soles.  Srsly.  My feet are average-sweaty, but I read this tip somewhere.  It makes sense, yeah?

It works well. Didn't know it was a thing other people did (but stands to reason—maybe I'm not the genius I thought, haha).

There y'go, user testimonial.  And don't widely separated geniuses often come to the same conclusion?  As for the lingering stinky shoes, how about a spritz of Lysol?

The shoe stench seems to diminish after a while if you start using deodorant.

Baking soda works for me. 1 teaspoon of the stuff in each shoe, toss it around in there, leave it all night. By morning it's better. Works for daughter's basketball shoes too. Major stink there!

Problem is, I think just saying, 'I sweat a lot' is an understatement if the issue is hyperhydrosis. My wife used to wear 3 shirts to work and used copious amounts of antiperspirant to try and get through the day. Often she would sweat through all 3 half way through her day. It was a really difficult and embarrassing problem for her to deal with.

When she finally told me about it, I did some research and it is a pretty common issue. You can have it any where on your body. Some people have it on their thighs, others their back, but more commonly it is the hands, feet and armpits.

The drysol was like night and day, and after 6mths or so, my wife no longer needed to use it. That's the great thing, for many people the sweat glands shrink.

Yeah I sweat quite a bit too, and the knowledge that you are sweating...makes you sweat more.  It's annoying.  It is the worst on cool humid days.  I hate those days.
Nobody these days holds the written word in such high esteem as police states do.  What statistic allows one to identify the Nations where Literature enjoys true consideration better than the sums appropriated for controlling and suppressing it.

Go barefoot around the house.  Baby powder maybe?

I just tossed a pair of cheap shoes I bought when I first got back on track last year.  I had run them through the washer a few times, but the last time, even that didn't make them stop smelling like Parmesan cheese.  I'm going to use some of these suggestions and hope my new, much nicer shoes don't meet the same fate.

I used  to freeze my work (steel toed) shoes and my gym trainers over night, every night, in my freezer. Kills the stinky grown stuff. That, in combination with odor eaters, several sock changes in a day, and loosening em up and opening them up a bit in some sunshine for a few hours to dry out... Powders help. I go for the nuclear option; of all of the above, all at once, every day and frozen solid all night. The freezer thing really works. Double bag em, get em frozen solid while you sleep.

Funny, now that I think about it, I haven't had feetsy odor issues in years. A bit of athletes foot last year, but that was easy enough to remedy.
