Anyone else watching this. It really is quite well done.

Tiger got to sleep, bird got to land;
Man got to tell himself he understand.”

Yeah, I'm liking it so far. It's a bit more mature than the original in some ways, which is good considering Korra and friends are older than Aang and friends, but it still has the same charms. I love the characters for the most part, especially the little boy airbender. The art style is similar, but somewhat different, too. Which, again, I like because it matches the setting and the industrialization the world is going through.

I'm ready to start seeing more Avatar stuff, though. The flashbacks of Aang's life were pretty cool, but I want to see more of that. I like the fact that Korra is apparently interacting with past Avatars differently than how Aang did.

It's well-done, and reminiscent of the original series without being more of the same.

I think the High Def makes the series that much better. It reminds me more of an anime than a kids cartoon. I guess calling the original series a kids cartoon show is a bit unfair, since it had a lot of things that could stimulate an adult such as myself, but Legend Of Korra for me adds so much with its 3d graphics and high def quality. So yeah, I'm digging it quite a bit. The animation is great.

I have this wild theory that Amon is a spirit. One that Aang pissed off.  Maybe the face stealer.

That would be quite interesting. At the very least, he is probably someone who has been in contact with a spirit or spirits. After all, that's how Aang learned to take away a person's bending.

There was a moment when I thought Amon might be Aang himself, but I immediately realized that's just stupid.  ;D I don't remember what it was that made me think that, though.

I keep trying to think of who Amon will turn out to be. After the scene where it's revealed Tarrlok could blood bend because he was Yakone's son, I thought maybe Amon has his ability because he's Aang's son. According to the wiki, Aang has two sons, Tenzin and Bumi. That could make for interesting character dynamics if Amon is Tenzin's brother, but I don't remember seeing or hearing about him in the show, so I don't really know how reasonable it is.

Honestly, Amon will probably turn out to be a completely new character. I think the mask is just there to make us guess when there's no way to know before it's revealed.

He claims the mask is there to hide the horrible burns he suffered at the hands of a bender as a child, but that's an awfully convenient excuse to hides ones identity. Korra's ancestral memories really seem to be leading to some big revelation, I wouldn't be surprised if that revelation is Amon's true identity.

I just saw it, after downloading the free episode to watch at work on my iPad. Not bad, for what it is. Better than most Nick stuff.
If you still hold the same views now as you did in high school, you probably should reexamine those views.

I think Korra is going to discover how to give bending back. If that turns out to be true, I would be awed if the show addresses that by seeing if she can give non-benders the ability to bend, and the implications of that in her society.

That may be asking too much from a kids show though.

I was disappointed with the finale. It just didn't really pack too much of a punch for me because I didn't feel like I got a chance to know the characters too much. I feel like it could've spent more time exploring everything before wrapping it up. Or maybe it's just me...
