Originstv.org is the website to a creationist television show called Origins, with topics ranging from evolution to carbon dating to the Scope's Monkey Trial. They spread a massive amount of misinformation by presenting some data, ignoring some aspects of the data, and misinterpreting  the data (either knowingly or ignorantly) to undermine the scientific consensus; which leads to "therefore, God". They go as far as to say that the majority of scientists don't actually accept evolution anymore, and that it has been debunked long ago.

I know this is not a new tactic with creationists -- and that it's just another source for the same creationist BS -- but I feel the need to put this show on everyone's radar. I recommend watching some episodes and posting your comments in this thread.

Their site is under construction, so here is the station's website for the show.

This show angers me.

Update: Here are the episodes.

In some cases, something will so piss me off that I want to scream and throw things at my monitor. . . .
Can you afford to buy me a new one?  :P

After watching this show, I wake up in a daze, with my clothes tattered, my skin returning to its original color from a green hue... Surprisingly, my shorts remain intact.

I'll help pitch in $100 if you do.  ;)

I have only debated creationists online, and when I do, they typically give me philosophical arguments. These guys pull up existing data and compare to their "data". They will go into quite a bit of detail. For instance, they talk about the scientific consensus on Carbon-14 dating, but then counter with their own research that shows that C-14 indicates a young earth. I know they've presented a few things that are new to me, but they may not be new to you.

I've seen about 4 episodes, and the rest of the time I catch bits and pieces before I have to change the channel. So there might be a lot of new stuff.

Even if it has all been done before, I still want them on the radar. Hopefully, some watcher will google them and this forum will pop up.

There have been shows on Discovery which argue that the pyramids are 10,000 years old  and there was also that show that was support to show that Exodus really happened. Been a few other real horrid shows. While Idon't tend to throw things, I do start yelling at the TV after a while.

I will try sometime to watch the show but doubt it will be anything but frustration
