This video got me thinking:

My Coming Out

how possible are mixed marriages regarding religious and non-religious people?  Does it matter if kids are involved or not?  I'm kind of curios if there are statistics regarding this somewhere.

EhJayArr:
My mom is Catholic, father atheist--married for 31 years.

Over the years, my mom has morphed from strong "pope is messenger of god" Catholic to "the church is pretty fucked up, but I still believe the teachings" Catholic, and my dad has morphed from deist to atheist... but it never really caused problems, because mom got to take the kids with her to church, and dad didn't have to go.

Desert Fox:
It kind of worked for Charles and Emma Darwin

Johnny Slick:
Or Perry and his wife, if you want to bring it closer to home.

My dad was a lifelong atheist who remained married to my Mom, who is a liberal Christian. There are often much, much bigger issues out there than religion when it comes to compatibility.

I imagine in what ways someone is religious and someone is atheist matters.

I am also reminded that Mr. DeAngellis was married to a Jehovah's Witness

I also think that it is important to be honest with those that are closest to you.  It may not be a problem but if it is and if two people care about each other enough then they will work through those problems.  If they don't work through their problems then the relationship, in actuality, had a ceiling on how close it was.
