I have a little heart-problem-thingy which causes it to go pop from time to time. Usually in bed. This causes me to sit bolt upright and say "Oh God!". What pissed me off about this was that for a long time I was more worried about my verbal diahorrea than my heart.

Life's tricky like that. The brain will do what the brain knows.

On a side note, the way you Mericun's get so uptight over "cuss" words makes me laugh.
They're just words. The only power they have is the power you give them.
And, substituting "c-word" and "n-word" for cunt and nigger does not make the blindest bit of difference. The whole point of words is to transfer meaning from your brainbox to mine, spelling it differently doesn't change the words meaning. Cunt is not, what is generally considered, a polite word and it can't be made in to one.

But if we spell out the whole word, certain bloggers out there might think we're tolerating misogyny.

True enough I guess.  But there's somethign about cunt and the n-word (can't even type the second one)....I just don't say them.  Like ever.  I have a pretty filthy mounth, and I almost never watch what I say unless there is a little kid around.  But I just do not say those words.

You've lost me.

Stellar.

I don't think I've ever seen him before. Is he popular?
The one about his kids playing hide and seek is awesome.

Louis CK is HUGE in the comedy nerd world.  He can pretty much do no wrong right now.

His show Louie on FX is amazing.

I find that really strange (not the part about kids, I do that too). I can't really be a US-only cultural thing as I alluded to earlier though as I spend some time on an English-based football fans website, (hardly a place for polite niceties  :-X ), and if you type C-u-n-t (you have me doing it now!!  ;)) it comes up c*nt. This baffles me. C*nt is exactly the same as Cunt.

I'll get over it I'm sure. With the help of God.  :P

He reminds me a bit of Carlin. I don't think I can get that show over here. Will have to do some surfing and find a copy.

I like him.

I was lucky enough to see him live last year. He is an absolute genius. He video taped his standup show and sold it from his website, direct to his fans, for FIVE BUCKS! He made a million practically overnight.

For his next show, he's cutting out the ticket agents so people can see his show for $40!! By selling tickets direct from his website.

The first time I ever saw him was when he was on conan, google everything's amazing and no one is happy. But there's just about nothing he's done which is crap. I'm so looking forward to his new season, the 1st episode should have aired by now right?

Sorry kinda hijacking this tread.

Yup. And even if those words will probably never be polite as such, they sure don't have a hope of losing their negative impact if people refer to them as C word and N word.

I just want to throw my hat in the "Louie is awesome" ring. On top of being a great comedian, he's one of the smartest and wittiest that I've seen in a long time. I hope I get to see him live sometime! And I LOVE what he's done with selling his performances cheaper, and directly to fans.
