I don't really understand how people find comedians offensive.
Jim Jefferies was at the Atheist con earlier this year and told a fairly long and slightly bornig joke that ends with "but i could never be gay, not because I don't like guys, but because I couldn't f**k anyone I respect".
It got quite a backlash, people calling him sexist and all that. I was stunned, people don't ACTUALLY believe he "thinks" that do they? He's making a JOKE, he's not telling his life story, it's called irony. If people actually thought that, they wouldn't laugh, they'd say: "ain't that the truth brother"..
The reason you laugh is precisely because it is preposterous and uncomfortable and maybe shocking and you can't believe someone said it on stage and maybe most of all, that maybe there ARE people in the world who actually DO believe that. But I don't for one second think the person on the stage is one of them.
