I can't watch Dramas anymore

I find that the older I get the less I can watch Dramatic television shows.  I don't know why, but I just find it harder to care about the characters and the stories than I used to.  Now there is a whole stable of critically acclaimed dramas I just find boring.  Not that this is keeping me up at night, I just wonder why this happened.

I find I'm the same way with tv dramas.  For me, I just can't be bothered to put the time and effort into watching a show every week to keep up on a story line. 

Give me cartoons.

I think the issue is that real life gives me enough drama already.  I don't need more.

Are we talking network dramas or shows that are actually well-written?
