Best of The Onion
« on: September 30, 2015, 02:59:42 PM »
There's no getting around it, The Onion is probably the best satirical website out there, to the point where it often predicts or even indirectly reports the news better than a lot of actual news sources.
Use this thread to post your favorite Onion articles, preferable with an image and a link.

The best of the Onion is always the headline and about 2 sentences in.  After that the articles rapidly become not so  funny.  Granted that's better than I can pull off.

Also, that reminds me of a story I was once told by a coworker.  She went on a blind date with a guy who brought up David Icke's theories after the first drink.

You want data?  My pie charts are made with a secret family recipe, my relationship charts stay committed even through tough times, and my line charts will get get high as fuck!

Oh I never read the articles, the headline is usually all you need.

Yeah they used to have a fake news radio show too... it just didn't work.

Some of the "Good Morning America" style videos over the years have been pretty good - that's a format that's easy to mimic and satirize.

Haha I got pied in the name of charity once while an engineering school student.  My status was such that there was an audible "Ooooooo" when I got called out.  That "Ooooo" was good for the ol' ego, not gonna lie.

The pie and the beard didn't mix too well, but it was worth it.
