Playboy is switching to a non-nude format, like Maxim or FHM.  Are those magazines even still around?

Its not that that crazy, the "gentle's magazine" was always playboy's market anyway, not the other porn mags.  Its the whole, I get for the articles.  Playboy actually had decent writing, typically better than FHM and Maxim but the women were naked instead of in bikini's.

I think its mostly just a publicity stunt to try and delay the inevitable.  Very few people are going to start buying playboy because there is no nudity.  Probably a similar number will stop buying it for that reason so thats more or less a wash.

Playboy is claiming porn and nudity is so available online that by now covering up it will become about the women and articles rather than porn. The truth is they are losing money and they can attract a wider range of advertisers by not doing nudes.

Now the will be able to more up front on newstands and dudes will be less embarrassed to buy it.  I think it will likely increase their sales a bit.

According to Cracked, Playboy's unique online visitors quadrupled when the online portion ceased all that nudity.  Probably because they were able to show up in more work-friendly searches now.

At the same time, they had long built an artistic flavor to their photography that will be a bit of a bummer to see vanish.  But there are other places online that do it pretty much just as well.  Met-Art comes to mind.

Meanwhile, in Benjamin Netanyahu's alternate reality (after he recently said that it was the Mufti that convinced Hitler to start the holocaust):

"Germany to Netanyahu: We're responsible for the Holocaust"

I imagine even Goodwin's going "WTF" at this point.

I can just imagine Angela Merkel and other German government officials going "Seriously? SERIOUSLY!? We have to issue a PRESS RELEASE saying 'actually we committed the holocaust' WTF!?"

Am I then only one who thinks a Palestinian using a sling against the Israeli's ironic>

It's like convergent evolution: Some strategies pop up independently because they're just so simple and elegant. A sling is the obvious best way for someone without resources to wage a fight.

I think he's referring to the David and Goliath story, in which Goliath was the Philistine (arguably not the same thing as a Palestinian but the words originate from the same source) and David was the Israeli.
And luckily, our soldiers wear helmets and sunglasses.

Of course he is. And he's saying it's ironic that the Palestinians are using the same weapon that David used against Goliath. I was saying, no, it's not ironic, it's to be expected, since it's the obvious weapon for an underdog with no resources to use. And I presume that Goliath would have been wearing a helmet and body armor too if the story were anything other than a fairy tale.

The Bible says Goliath's armor weighed somewhere between 150 and 200 pounds (probably an exaggeration by a factor of two or so).
