The Skeptics Guide is very sad to announce the passing of one of our rogues, Perry DeAngelis. Perry was the inspiration for the formation of the NESS and so we owe our existence to his vision. His distinctive wit and humor and his larger than life persona, which he lent to everything he did in life, helped forge the Skeptics Guide into what it is. He will be sorely missed.

Goodbye, dear friend.

We do not yet have plans for the SGU. Suffice to say plans are suspended for now. We will resume our regular schedule soon.

This is unbelievably sad.

The podcast won't be the same.

Best wishes to his family.

My condolences to Steve and the Rogues and all Perry's friends and family.
I can't believe this has happened, I'm just so stunned and sad. What a loss.

My deep condolences to Perry's friends and family.  If the unfalsifiable is true and there's an afterlife, I'm sure Perry is there now, mocking the TBs.

I think a lot of fans will agree when I say I felt like I knew Perry personally even though I only was a podcast listener.  You could tell his was the typical gruff on the outside teddybear on the inside kind of guy.  (at least that was my impression of him)   I hope he knew what a big impact the podcast had on my life and the lives of others.

I think it would be a great idea if people donated to the SGU in honour of Perry's memory - I'm off to do that now...

I am very sad to read about Perry. He was an inspiration to all for his skepticism, adherence to the truth and no holds barred sense of individuality. He said what he wanted to say.

He will be missed.  Thanks to all and my condolences to all on the skeptics panel, his friends and family.
