Probably more and more sass from weirdos wearing down the novelty of having your own communtiy, too.

My guess is that they migrated to more modern social platforms.

My guess is that they migrated to more modern social platforms.

Do tey interact on those other platforms? I know Steve occasionally responds to comments on his blogs, but anything besides that?

The only specific interaction I've seen was when I sent an email asking if the store was ever coming back I actually got an email direct from Jay saying it was going to be a few months while they re-worked it.

Steve does interact over on his Neurologica blog quite a bit.

With kids these days it's all about the twitters, the instagrams and the telegrams.

Did the Reddit thing ever take off?

I thought body language had progressed to the point where the kids could now communicate entirely via sexting.

I didnt realise that was the case.
Just upped to damn dirty ape in appreciation.

I upped to Cyborg because I didn't like being called a damn dirty ape. I have no idea what a Cyborg is, so I don't mind being called that. But I get so much enjoyment and education from the show that it's worth the $12/month. OTOH when they offered some original artwork to members at one of the higher levels, I looked it up and decided not to subscribe at the $200/month level.

Do tey interact on those other platforms? I know Steve occasionally responds to comments on his blogs, but anything besides that?

Once when I had problems downloading the show, or something, I wrote to the SGU's general email and got a reply from Jay. And once when I wrote to the SGU's general email with a question related to what I thought might be medical pseudoscience, I got a reply from Steve. The was a pleasant surprise.

I too got a response from Steve once or twice via email. I once even ruined science or fiction by sending in a story recommendation which Steve was going to use :-P
