Well, we've got the insurance and permits.

We're set.

I live in NYC, but I +1 will be going to the DC one.

In your opinion what are the top science attractions in New York and Washington?

In NYC the obvious one is the American Museum of Natural History.

A not so obvious one IMHO is the New York Botanical Garden--or Brooklyn Botanic Garden.

The NY Hall of Science in Flushing Meadows is also a good one.

Washington DC of course has the National Museum of Natural History the National Air and Space Museum  right on the Mall. Both are free admission.

That's my daughter's sixth birthday, so I won't be able to travel far.  I might see if I can get the day off if there's a sister march nearer by.

I am going to try to do my damnest to be there but it does depend on work and financial issues.

I'll be in either Seattle or nearby.

When I saw in the show notes that this weeks podcast was going to include the topic of the March for Science, I was expecting the SGU Rogues to tell which March they were going to, and encourage everyone to participate too... But as far as I could understand, they purposely gave a neutral statement about it... Maybe Steve thinks that this is a "thin ice" issue for the SGU? Are they avoiding to be more explicit about it fearing that they might piss off all the Republican SGU fans? o.O

I'm planning to go and take my girls. My oldest has a sign planned, "You know you fucked up when the introverts leave the lab." My 11 year old wants to tell congress to stick climate change denial up their ass but we're working on a witty slogan. :-) Have to wait and see when it gets closer if we are car pooling, busing, or staying with friends.  I bused to the women's march and enjoyed the camaraderie before and after the event.

It sounded like the rogues were kind of ambivalent about the march because of the politics involved, which I understand.  I think that they may also think that it's a little nebulous and ill-defined.

I'll be in Sacramento.

I thought of my sign:

There is a possibility I might be there.  I might be in Davis for their picnic parade though.  We're still making plans.
