Factorio is a 2d builder game that where you build and manage increasingly complex and large factories, including in game logic controllers. Total nerd game, anyone on the forum play?

Been playing since 0.10 Alpha I think, definitely long before Steam release.

Love it, love it, love it.  Scratches so many automation itches.

ETA: Just checked on the website, looks like I purchased 2014-07-08, which was indeed 0.10

fun game, lets make red things so we can make green things and in turn make blue things and then ultimately make purple things

Yep, love this game.  A lot of it feels like my job (computer graphics hardware stuff) in finding parallelism and optimization and resource constraints and bottlenecks etc etc.

Great game. I have played from 0.9. something.

The biggest flaw in the game is the combat. It gets really boring once you learn how it works. It's just driving in circles with a tank and killing stuff.

Yeah, thats probably the safest and the only way to deal with massive nests in super-lategame once you have infinite resources. A tank can quickly clear small and medium nests but probably can't deal with massive nests.

Though, I haven't really bothered play that late into the game. I usually just build the rocket with automation and then I'm done with the game until the next big update that adds new mechanics.

I like rocking the power armor and flame thrower for late game nest clearing. Combat Drones are super handy late game.

My favorite LPer is doing a series on trying to get the Lazy Bastard acheivement (craft as little things as possible as the player, everything done in crafting machines).

Been quite engaging to watch.
