My hypothesis on why males don't refer to females as nerds has more to do with male/female dynamics. When it's just my male friends and I, we will, on occasion, go out of our way to try and offend the sensibilities of each other. When there's a female in the group, that doesn't happen. Dunno if this is due to a caveman attractive force (not worth the risk of pushing them away) or some vestige of chivalry (somehow I doubt that) or something.
Today a friend and I laughed at a reference to Darmok and Jalad at Tenagra. Whilst you may not be up to that level of pathetic-ness, from what I've heard, you're still, to break my hypothesis from my previous post, a nerd. :wink:
