Americans are more likely to use the term Europeans than people from Europe.

Podcast Episodes / Re: Episode #410

Bob mistakenly used the phrase "dark side of the moon" in this episode.  But there is no dark side of the moon.  The "back" side, the one we don't see, gets sunlight just like the "front" side.

They need to mention his relationship with his father more, as they did briefly this episode. Emphasise that his shortcomings and cowardice are the result of psychological abuse and not the true measure of his character.

Well, he did tell the story of his father promising to kill him on his birthday if he didn't leave and immediately "take the Black".   I'm not sure how much more clear you can get.

By time/if we get the story of Sam returning to Castle Black and traveling to the Citadel with Aemon I think the majority of the GoT audience will be firmly in the "Sam is awesome in his own way" camp.

And you know once the younger girl turns 18, if they still love each other, they'll just get back together again, so what really have you accomplished through by pressing this?  And you know if you just left the two alone and treated them like any ordinary high school relationship, they might have even broken up on their own in a few years if it was just an ordinary high school crush.  But now by treating this relationship as some super special important relationship, you've probably intensified their feelings for each other and turned them into star crossed lovers a la Romeo and Juliet.

Isn't that ironic. . . .
I was thinking about the teacher with the teenage student where she had a child from him. Likely that was an aspect there as well.

My highschool experience was very different.  A senior going out with a freshman would have been ridiculed.  The lest successful the males would date girls a year or maybe 2 years younger.  Only a looser would date a freshman this was basically true  of the juniors too.  Only the highest status boys good pull and older girl.

Yes there were probably guy gay people but I was from a small town with a graduation class of 99 folks.  3/4 of which were bussed in from the air force base.

I'm curious, for those forum members from more sexually permissive cultures.   Would an 18 year old dating a 14/15 year old typical be seen as okay?

Remember, it is not first to post, it is random draw.  Don't be bummed seeing that there is a post (or more than one).  Post your solutions, too...

And good on you, AndrewAntaro.  Typing takes time, you beat me...

I had to post this again.

Cognitive Dissonance is one of my new fav podcasts, which really surprises me that I would find two fat, loud and abrasive Americans so bloody charming.

Fuck you and glory hole.

If they had British accents, they'd be the atheists' Bugle.
