SGU in Wired magazine!
« on: August 18, 2008, 05:04:03 PM »
That's right, The Skeptics' Guide got a very nice shout-out on page 74 of the September issue of Wired (the one with the electric car on the cover). I've scanned it in (click to view larger), but you should totally go out and purchase this issue and then send letters to the editor congratulating them on their excellent taste in podcasts!

That's sweet.  There's not much more "main stream" than Wired.  Next month the cover of Newsweek? :P

Don't worry Craig, the waaaambulence is on its way. :-*

Congratulations on rating slightly below the pencil of the month club!

I hadn't thought of it that way, but then I guess that means I should congratulate you as well! For rating slightly below a commenter on the pencil-of-the-month club's forum.

So does this type of mention in a nationally published magazine help the wiki case for the SGU?

I used to post over there but they banned me because of my unorthodox position on colored pencils vs. crayons.

I'd venture to guess that it would! Though I think the entry was deemed safe.

Disclaimer:  Only becuase I have a 5 year old daughter...

#4 Yo Gabba Gabba

Holy weeping Christ on a stick!

Have any of you ever seen this kids program?  It is PERFECTLY geared to entice and entertain 5-year-olds, and at the same time, it is PERFECTLY unwatchable for 38-year-old parents.

Just go to Youtube and type in Yo Gabba Gabba and try to watch and listen for 2 minutes.  You'd rather chew tinfoil, I assure you.

Still, I get very pumped whenever SGU touches the "mainstream", even if we have to share it with the likes of Yo Gabba Gabba!
