So is 80, over 80 years old?

Like it depends on how you count things...

And what about if a 79 year old turns 80 during 2009. 5 points or 21? Is it age at time of death or time of picking?

Edit: also can we bed on unborn babies

Yes - 80 or older in years = 80+ and is 5 points.
79 and 364/365 = 21 points

This is a good point.
Everyone will have a birthday in 2009.
Scoring will be the person's age at TIME OF DEATH.
So if you pick someone who is now 79 and they turn 80 then die, 5 points awarded.
If they die on their birthday I will award full points for age (20).

FTFY - the other way just didn't quite sound right.   ;)

Since they are currently unnamed, they cannot hold celebrity status.
Persons must be born and named and of notoriety or 'celeb' parents.
So you could use any of Demi Moore's kids but not Rebecca Romijn's unborn baby unless he/she is born prior to Jan 1.
The rules have been altered to show these rule adjustments.

Thanks Mickal.
As I said in post #1, the rules are bound to be adjusted as questions arise.

Apeiron is not a celeb except in his own mind - does not qualify.

Please read the rules - assasinating or conspiring to assasinate a celeb is grounds for immediate disqualification.

LEE - please read the rules - only one post of your 25 picks is acceptable if you are really playing.
Take your time and choose them wisely.

I really like this idea, and I'll do my best to formulate a list in the next couple months.

Is there a penalty for duping someone else's choice?

There shouldn't be imo, it would give a huge advantage to people compiling lists earlier than others.

How about if dupes have to split the points?

And this is where I'll post my list when it's time.
