Is a poster's warning level visible only to mods/admins?

I feel like I'm in the wrong house.

I agree  :'(

It's the same house.  It has the same rooms, the same floor plan, the same furniture, the same inhabitants... it just has a new coat of paint.
I expect to pass through this world but once;
any good thing therefore that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now;
let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.

Having it visible to regular members is configurable.  A little message that says "Moderated" or "Muted" shows up in the avatar section of a post.

Right now, I have it set to be visible to everyone.  I think it's important that members know if a person they are in a lively discussion with can't respond because they are being sanctioned.  I also think it's important to show that reporting posts to moderators actually produces results.  And maybe it'll help deter people from posting things that are against the rules in the first place.

Just noticed the link to the SGU IRC Chat under the logo. It's blocked for me at work, but it's nice to know it's there and handy . I may have to try it from home.
