Sebastien Tellier

Sebastien Tellier is another one of these insane-seeming experimental French musicians that I only wish there were more of.  I'd say he's the present-day heir to Serge Gainsbourg, and I could not recommend his music more.  His first album is a classic exercise in lo-fi atmosphere and creepiness, his subsequent albums are all over the place and wonderful, but his new album, Sexuality, is a total reinvention of himself.

It's produced by Guy Mann from Daft Punk, and basically remakes Tellier as some of the best, most dance-able, catchiest, most original electro-pop I have ever heard.  (Fans of Daft Punk's "Discovery" album will very likely really get into this.)

Just check out this song, "Divine," and see if it intrigues and delights you as it has me.

And if you like that, here's the other single ("Sexual Sportswear") from that album.

The video's kind of sexy and sensual, and with a funny ending.
