Sinbad resurrected after online demise

Internet rumor spread that Sinbad, the comedian, died. I always thought a good gag (try it some time), go into an chat room, like an IRC channel, and say something like "Man, it's terrible what happened to Sarah McLachlan. No one deserves to go like that." And watch people have small fits as they google like hell.

LOL I've done that before a few times with some C-List celebrities.  People will believe anything.  Which really sucks.

Which reminds me. Sarah Mclachlan has a very hard name to spell. At least for me. My way to remember the spelling:

A McDonalds in Los Angelis (Mc LA)
A Local Area Network in Switzerland (CH LAN)
"Because the world needs more Mark Crislip."

You need a mnemonic for spelling Los Angeles now.

There is nothing wrong in believing something plausible. There is nothing implausible about a celebrity dying. People die every day. If the said celebrity was killed by aliens then you would have the right to ridicule people for believing anything.

If people google that's a good thing. At least they aren't taking your word at face value.

Nothing new. I saw Sinbad die on Star Search years ago.
