Skeptical song I've been tooling with
« on: March 04, 2009, 12:08:42 AM »
I've started writing a skeptically themed song, it's not complete but I like what I have so far.

It's sort of a folkish metal type song. Think dio era sabbath.

The song likens the struggle of the skeptic to that of salors trapped at sea durring a dark storm. The "candle in the dark" lyrics don't need much explanation.

Quote
The ship pulls away from the harbor
The dark clouds cast all over the sea
We strain to see through the mist and fog
The Darkness all around

The Captain yells to mates and men
“Hold fast boys, weather the storm!
Though the the wind may cry, and some may die
we will soon again reach the shore”

(Chorus)
There are those who choose
to shield their eyes,
from the night, so bleak and stark
And there are those who choose to reach out and grasp
for the candle in the dark.

It easy to pray for the fallen man
But the bravest are those who lend a helping hand
something
something

Anyone have any suggestions for more verses and such?

Thanks.
