Reminds me of the (fairly recent) story of the glass-oozing girl. Except you can't make curtains out of lame little pieces of glass.

I'm reading the book called "Infidel" by Ayaan Hirsi Ali right now... and yeah.. what you saw is not an exaggeration. They got a very big stigma with female sexuality. It's scary. I recommend that book to everyone but especially women. They're really fucked up in the Middle East and Africa.

Hirsi Ali is way overrated. There's reason to believe she didn't write half of what she supposedly wrote, and the things she put her name under are greatly exaggerated.

Ok, what reason is that?

And even if she didn't write half of it... like someone else wrote it and she dictated it? Who cares as long as it's true.

Have you even read what she wrote?

I did not read her books, but I've read articles and columns by her. I'm Dutch, so she showed up in the newspapers I read daily quite frequently a while ago.

In the Netherlands there's quite some disbelief as to how popular she's on the other side of the ocean. Of course, there's plenty of supporters here as well.

Here is a critical review of the book:

As for doubts concerning how much of 'her' work she actually wrote herself, here's an article:

Unfortunately it is all in Dutch.

Btw, I'm just showing another side of the issue here. There are many critics of Hirsi Ali and they have good points. You seem to have made up your mind before looking at the facts.

Are you kidding?  LaPalida was acting totally reasonable, and just asked you for more information.  She did not even say that what you said was not true!  She just said, 1.) have you read her books, if you are going to claim she is overrated (you have not)  2.) what evidence do you have that she did not write them? (Which is a totally reasonable question, since you just asserted that "there is good reason to believe", without enumerating even one of those reasons.)

Could you please at least summarize what they say? I don't even know what the criticisms these people have are.

That skeik guy seemed to be unnaturally fascinated with 14 year old vaginas.  I mean, I could understand the "natural" fascination with them, but that bag of drain clogs he's lugging around is a bit off the map.

LOL, I can picture him in the green room with his face buried in a pile of cooch-rags inhaling deeply.  I mean seriously, the girl probably just likes a little stuffing and got caught.  Now she's got to do it regularly to 'prove' that it's a demonic manifestation.
