Evangelical Atheist?
« on: March 27, 2007, 11:48:51 PM »
I once heard that the definition of an evangelical atheist is one who says "I don't believe in God ...and neither do you!"

There are days when I'm energized to speak out against all the nonsense that the willfully ignorant are willing to believe.  When one realizes they've left lala land for rational thought you are confronted almost on an hourly basis with someone trying to impose their religious belief or pseudoscience into your life and those moments are just begging for a dose of reality.  Is it possible to be something other than a passive non-believer and how should we go about it?
Willful ignorance is the only sin.

The Centre for Inquiry seems to be taking the activist route.
