OK gang - here are the answers with links.

1.  T - Very cool - http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23336318/

2.  T - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1_E-18_s

3.  F - http://funny2.com/falsefacts.htm

4.  F - http://snopes.com/travel/trap/euthanasia.asp

5.  T - http://www.snopes.com/pregnant/medina.asp

6.  T - http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=fungus-makes-zombie-ants

7.  T - http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/07/090729074523.htm

8.  F - The key word in this question was "proven".  Although most people report a relief from depression, the results are inconclusive.  Dr. Anna Baverstock investigated the tests and found they were not performed properly.  http://www.bestbets.org/bets/bet.php?id=1393
MANY other sites report that this is proven but it is solely based on single experience feedback, not a properly conducted study.

9.  T - Believe it or not.  It is not recognized annually - just that one year - http://www.snopes.com/religion/jesusday.asp

10.T - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speed_of_sound

I will have to look back and see who got the most right.

This is probably already been answered but I haven't looked.

1.   Scientists at Lund University in Sweden have photographed an electron

I guess this is going to depend on the definition of "photograph". But I'll go with TRUE.

2.   An attosecond is equivalent to one quadrillionth of a second.
No idea. Is "quadrillion" even really a number? FALSE

3.   Scientists estimate that sleep lost due to daylight saving time reduces the average lifespan by nearly two full months
Nonsense. Who says that loosing a little sleep shortens your lifespan? And who says taht daylight savings actually makes you lose sleep? FALSE

4.   A Florida company offers “euthanasia cruises” on which terminally ill and suicidal passengers end their lives by jumping overboard.
FALSE. This would be major headlines. I would know about, living in FL, and would be illegal.

5.   The youngest mother on record was a 5-year-old Peruvian girl.

TRUE. I remember hearing that the youngest mother was insanely young.

6.   A tropical fungus has adapted to infect ants and force them to chomp into perfectly located leaves before killing them and taking over their bodies

I've heard of "mind control" parasites before. I don't really understand your description but I'm going with TRUE.

7.   The Bowhead Whale, in an effort to mate, changes its song every year and does not repeat a previous song.

I think this would be less effective than keeping an identifiable song. FALSE.

8.   DAT, or Dolphin-assisted therapy, has been proven as an effective way to combat depression.

TRUE. Everyone loves dolphins, although you don't really need a special acronym for it.

9.   By proclamation of George W. Bush, June 10, 2000 was noted as “Jesus Day” in Texas.

TRUE. Wouldn't surprise me.

10.   Sound travels more than 4 times faster in water than in air.

FALSE. It carries 4 times as far I think, but not faster.

It used to run about bi-weekly.
Quiz up for about three days or so then answers revealed and scores counted.
Eventually a new quizzer was decided then he/she would draw up another usually within a week.
There was no real set time though.
