Not too shabby, dude! Keep it up!

I realize you're probably just using whatever you have handy, but I like the sort of rawness of using lined paper.

Thanks. I use lined paper primarily because I often do these in school. However, I did try to transition once to a sketchbook. The different texture of the paper made my lines come out in a way I didn't like. It wasn't as smooth when drawn on there. And it didn't help that the paper also made it harder to erase any lines I didn't like, which is bad when you use guide lines.

So, I decided that I would just keep using the lined paper.

That's as good a reason as any! And, either way, it seems to be working for you so far. Keep at it :)
Alright, I will.

If you like smoother paper, regular old computer paper works as well, too - and you don't get the lines. Assuming that's something that you're worrying about, of course.

Why didn't I think of that?

Do you have the glossy, smooth lined paper or the slightly grainy, fibrious kind?

Also, isn't it like 5:45 in Florida right now?

What you doin' up on a non-school day?

For the paper, it's just regular school-grade paper.

As for the time... I'm actually a little confused about that myself.

Most school lined paper I've encountered is pretty smooth, and I have seen the fibrous stuff, but if IaN wants smooth, computer paper (generally 65 lb, smooth, white) is the way to go. I think he mentioned that he like the lined paper he's using because it's smooth, which is why I suggested it.

Oh, and just so you know, IaN, they do make sketch pads that have smooth paper. But computer paper is cheaper.

Is eight hours of work too much for a 48x48 block image?
