I don't think I'd ever seen a locking license plate holder before today.  It was on a car with disabled plates so maybe there's a black market for such things?
There is a market for any and all stolen tags.
I don't understand some things

A coworker of mine just sent a picture of his computer screen.  It was the loggin page for some State of Oregon website for building permits.   The captcha code was "wetback".  I put some effort into uploading the picture as evidence but seriously, how does that happen?

One Captcha algorithm that was used for a time was based on words that OCR scanners could not recognize and had to be manually entered.  The thinking was if OCR couldn't read it, then bots couldn't either. The system automatically pulled the images and codes from a database, with no human intervention beyond initially interpreting the bad text.

(Not saying this happened in this case, but it is possible).

You hope those type of gaffes are just unfortunate computer mistakes.

It's like the ABS (Australian Bureau of Statistics) accidentally had the word 'bumsex' on someone's voting slip for Gay Marriage in Australia (The official plebiscite that decided we would legalise Gay Marriage)

I'm finally getting my winter tires.   I have an old set from a previous car that have only been used for one season.  I can leave then with the tire people who will just thrown them in with all the old crapped out tires or I can attempt to sell them on the internets which may not happen and might end up being thrown on a big pile of bad tires anyway.

So, its more responsible of me to try and get someone else to use them for a few seasons before they get thrown in a land fill, but I'm kind of lazy.

If I had the skills, I'd create a web based app in which the user to select from an assortment of people revealing the message on a blank cardboard sheet.  The app would then let you enter the message of your choice in order to put together a video of people who reveal the message to your audience/customer base.

What's the deal with the gallon of water a day challenge?  I'm seeing it everywhere now.  Seems like its suppose to a miracle cure.

Also, in Europe is it the 4 liter a day or 3785 ml challenge?

4.5 litres or 4546 mls if you use a real Gallon  ;)

That's a lot of water. I'm probably close to that now (it is the middle of a very hot summer), but I couldn't do that most of the year.

Took my wife to the coast to watch the sunset on her birthday, but it was storming and we couldn't even see where the sun was... so we looked at photos of sunsets on her phone.

Amend and resubmit.

Still raining.  One of the local towns got almost 8" in 24 hours.  There will be wide spread flooding by this weekend, with mudslides, ship-wrecked cars, and downed trees.
Amend and resubmit.
