My local time to your post was 3:43 am.  Heh...so you will get me drunk at that time.  I will start popping into the chat room and we'll see if we all hook up.

Are you sure you're timezone is set correctly? I'm in the same time zone as you, and his post time is around 11:30PM to me. I know my settings are right, because my posts are showing up at the correct time.

    Media packets available online?
Put out press releases to PR Newswire, and contact local and national magazines and media outlets
Advertise, but I'm not sure what magazines your listeners subscribe to.
I'd also clean up the website a bit (sorry I now you're tired of hearing this).  It should be more user friendly, and easy on the eyes.  I'm happy to help, but I may bring more girly stuff and I'm not sure you'd want that LOL
I'd like it if you could target women more, but I'm not sure how to do that.  I'll have to think about it.
I WANT to believe.
But I don't.

I'm declaring shenanigans.

Here's a poster Jay designed a few months back:

I modified that one to have URL pull off tags, and have been putting them up all around my hometown.

Jay,

Really look into doing funny Youtube videos.

Something along the lines of the Infinite Solutions guy, but with woowoo stuff.

Infinite Solutions This guy is hilarious.  Check him out.  Something along those lines with a website listed at the end of each will drive people to your webpage and increase listenership.

Poke a good deal of fun at them in instructional videos, and people will flock to the podcast.

I suggest:

1) How to become a Psychic.
2) How to perform Psychic Surgery
3) How to create a conspiracy theory
4) How the earth was formed (young earth creationism)
5) How to become a paranormal researcher
6) How to bend a spoon using the power of thought
7) The Continents aren't drifting, idiot! The Earth is getting BIGGER.

The key is to dumb the topics down so that your average Joe will get the point, and hopefully be driven to your website.  We have a ton of talent on the boards, I'm certain we could come up with decent scripts for the above topics and probably additional topics that I can't even think of right now.

Evan and I have a GREAT idea for a video but time has been a factor.  I would love more ideas from you guys and if you could write scripts that would be incredible.

My suggestion is to aim for the broad mainstream who are not already skeptics.  So if you have a choice between an ad in Skeptic magazine, or Time Magazine, go with Time (well, you guys probably couldn't afford Time, but you get the idea).

Getting people who are already skeptics to listen to the show is nice, but it won't have much of an affect on society.  Getting people not into skepticism would.

Any specific ideas for marketing by the way?

I would say universities are a good target. If we could print out some ready made leaflets to leave at these places...

For Posters:

1. Bus stops.  They have a few minutes with nothing to do.
2. Aim for High school students.

Also, a really effective method would be to get Steve to go on other podcasts for interviews.  Point of Inquiry would be great for instance (coincidently, I suggest to DJ to interview Steve on alt-meds).
