Best guest rogue = George Hrab on #260.

Best interview = Prof. Simon Conway Morris (for intellectual yumminess)

Funniest moment = for me was the description of how Steven Hawking plans to seed the universe with life in #250. There is some funny back and forth but the best moment is the "jack-off in a cup and throw it at the sky" line.

more later...

I've spent the last year trying to listen to all the back episodes, so the podcasts are all in the wrong order in my head at the moment, but off the top of my head, the interview with Aubrey de Grey springs to mind

Some of my favorite quotes:

Quote
#254
Jay: So is anything going to be done about this?

Steve: Yes, we're going to mock and ridicule them.

#270
Steve: That's about all he has.

Jay: But what... and then?

Steve: Scientists don't know what they're talking about. They're lying and it's all BS.

Jay: And then?

Steve: That's it.

----------------------

Bob: What do you guys think about when I say robots from science fiction?

Steve: I think the sex slaves from Westworld.

Bob: No, you can't think that because it ruins my point.

Best Episode: I might be biased because I was there, but the live in Vancouver one with Hrab was hilarious.
Jackass of the year: Glenn Beck, imho.
Psychic prediction:  The UK will pass some semi-passable libel reform.
Hrab is the best guest Rogue ever.  Aubry De Gray is the best interview for the year.
I can't really put out a vote for much else.

Bob: What do you guys think about when I say robots from science fiction?

Steve: I think the sex slaves from Westworld.

Bob: No, you can't think that because it ruins my point.

Yeah, that's pretty hilarious.  I'll vote on that for funniest lines.

OK, so I was listening through the 2010 episodes trying to find my favorite quote and the funniest quote, and I decided to include several that I found amusing. I realize that not all of them will be used, but maybe this list will also help other people decide.

#238: Dr. Steve does an impression of Sagan saying "primordial soup" at 01:10:15

#240: Jay in Sci or Fi. 01:01:12 to about 1:03:05

#248: Rebecca talks about the ICP song that includes that line about magnets and talks about how she explained the creation of rainbows to a juggalo. 22:32 to about 24:35

#251: They reminisce at the beginning and then play back the original episode where Bob says "Hellloooooo" 01:35 to 03:09. "Expunge that from your hard drive!" They also tease Bob about it from 01:17:32 to about 01:17:54

#252: Human/chimp relations, Rebecca calls Steve a perv. 00:27:56 to about 00:28:46

#260: George Hrab is introduced and mimics Bob's "Hellooooo" 02:39 to 03:03

#259: sci or fic from 01:09:34 to 01:10:35, and the other rogues give Jay a hard time for flubbing the quote: 01:16:10 to 01:16:29

#262: Jay in sci or fic, including funny quip from Evan. 01:02:39 to 01:03:22
"Sometimes I think it's all one big affectation. The forty jars, each holding its thief, draw closer to me, trying to eavesdrop." John Ashbery

"And beware the casual assumption of moral superiority, or that everyone who disagrees with you is evil. That is the path to fanaticism." Dr. Steven Novella

Funniest moment:

When Jay said "And you're angry about this?" in response to Steven talking about the fish suckling from it's mother in episode 272.

I mean why the hell would Steven be angered by a fish suckling from its mother? It just made me laugh. You're a silly MOOSE Jay!
