How does one become an authority on "real life zombies"?

study the neurology of sleep-walking or catatonia? the effects of lobotomy or alzheimers? the science of suspended animation surgery? *Shrug* defends what it means to be a zombie.

Haitian zombies (I know they're not REAL zombies, but the practice is real).

How did I miss this thread?  I guess I don't come on the boards enough.   Caustic Soda is indeed a great podcast.   It also has the best editing of any podcast I've heard.   Topics flow well, segues are cool (I really like the one where Joe opens another Caustic Soda) and music is superb.     I still can't get that "Blackstrap Mollasses and wheatgerm bread" song out of my head.

unless you can get off in under 30-seconds it's a total waste of time

I mean, um, why are you doing that?

the only thing that irks me on the production side is that the music segments are so loud that I can't listen to the podcast when I go to bed.

Being a skeptical science based chef and geek, I couldn't help wanting to critique their food episode, so they could marvel at how unamusingly  pedantic I can be about food.   Good for me and them I also have ADD with a side of procrastination so I daydream about responding and come up with an incredibly good response in my head but before I can sit down to write it I'm already thinking about.. something.. or other.

if anything, I'd only ask you put up a poll somewhere (main website, facebook page, whereever) to see how others feel about it.

other people might pay a lot of attention to the interlude, and might like the oomph of the segment intro tunes, so it might be perfect the way it is for most listeners...

I dig the interlude, but I don't listen in bed.
I listen while I'm lacking some smack down on the clients who owe the company money.

Production values are excellent IMO.

Yeah, the intermission is awesome, but I'd agree on just a wee bit loud.  I can't listen to Caustic Soda when I'm trying to sleep, I like it too much to miss parts of it.
