Post-human instruments
« on: June 23, 2011, 09:12:47 AM »
I've noticed that it's easier to coordinate my left and right hand than my left with someone else's right hand.  Makes it easy to put away dishes, having two hands.  I did years of piano growing up, and did a few duets with the teacher or other students.  Post-Singularity, I'd assume a sentience could have reasonable control over four hands.  Maybe Steven Novella can even hook up some nerve endings directly to a fretboard or piano--although that tech is crude right now.

Will we need bored bass players or drummers in the future?
