Thanks folks. WTN is at 58:30. The new one is either Australian or Loyd Grossman.

Edit: Summary of the latter part of the Kepler discussion: "Fucking gravity, how does that work?"

ETA:  He did a special on UFO hunters a while ago, I'll see if I can dig it up somewhere.

BTW: To Bob:  Dropping a screw in the jet engine probably wouldn't damage it if it went all the way through it.  However, you would probably have to borescope it for damage.  Now that is EXPENSIVE and time consuming.

Yep, Louis Theroux.

Bugger, first time I've played this, knew the answer and REALLY wanted to be first. Now I know how Bob Rebadow must have felt.

I know it sucks, usually it's Trinoc who puts ME in your position.  He cheats.

Anyway, here's the link.  Fast Forward to 14:35

I think it's an excellent idea to get Dawkins on the podcast. It's the polite thing to let him have his say, and letting him face Rebecca on the podcast - her turf - might go a little way to equalizing the positions.

And wrt voluntary forgetting - I thought alcohol in sufficient quantity erased memories.

I would be soooooo disappointed if they got Dawkins on finally and all they talked about was THIS...  ::)

That which can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence. -- Hitchens.

Agreed. But I think it's inevitable that they do talk about this.

Thanks for the podcast Rogues!

Regarding ElevatorGate,

I feel your segment failed to address a few of the key issues particularly Rebecca's and the Skepchick's response to this fiasco.  I am curious as to your position on Rebecca calling out a boycott on all of Richard's works as well as all the name calling and accusations of misogyny coming from that camp.

It seams to me to be counter productive if your goal is to increase awareness within the skeptical and atheist movement.

They only have an hour per week... I would have liked Rebecca's thoughts on calling out a relatively unknown blogger in her keynote speech. That is a massive imbalance in power (IMO greater than the difference in power between Rebecca and Dawkins) and it will be seen as embarassing and slamming that blogger, regardless of any protestations Rebecca made. AFAICS, that's RW's only mistake during this affair.
