I get the concept, but I refuse to feel guilty about any music I listen to, and there's plenty that falls into this category. Applying a snob factor to music is ridiculous. Unless it's something I don't like, then people should feel guilty.

Current (very) guilty pleasure is Lady Gaga. Yeah, I know...

It's only a guilty pleasure if the group/artist has no talent, or is trite, or is cheesy.

Take away LGGs stage show, studio production, backup bands, singers, and stage show, and you get this:

…which disqualifiers her as a guilty pleasure.

So without all that she does STERN!? DO NOT WANT

Ok, but srsly she has a great voice but MAN does she drop phrases a lot. She should team up with Neil Diamond.

Amen. I find her utterly unmoving.

Meh. She can sing in tune and play a half-decent piano. Real talent is another beast altogether.

All right.  This has been stuck in my head for DAYS.  Come on now, Jermaine Jackson and DEVO?  Can't beat that with a stick.

And I am not ashamed to like (some songs by) The Carpenters. There, I said it...

I like their cover of Klatau's "Calling Occupants" complete with the cheeze DJ & Aliens mini play at the beginning.

But yeah - they had some beautiful songs.  Very Bert Baccarach.  Nice stuff.

I love that friggin tune.

Dont even fix a price!

Reminds of some of the great keyboard rock of the early 80s. Greg Kihn, Martin Briley.

Me too.

Now, MisterJudgmentalMarc.  Henry Rollins says it's all good, and we should listen without shame.  And furthermore, I happen to have that song in my iTunes.  :P

Henry Rollins is spouting postmodernist claptrap! MMMBop is objectively bad.  ;)
