The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov - 8/10

My girlfriend was born in Moscow and wanted me to read this book. Apparently it's considered a classic and every Russian has read it. I'm curious if anyone here has heard of it? It takes place in the 1920s (and was written around that time). The devil comes to Moscow and fucks with a bunch of people in mostly very funny ways. It's laugh out loud funny, has an interesting story within the story about Jesus and Pontious Pilot, and is incredibly engaging. It's a magical realism story that reminds me of something like Neil Gaiman meets Terry Pratchett. That's probably not apt but it definitely reminds me of a combo of modern writers I can't put my finger on. Maybe some Tom Robbins?

The narration for Audible is also very very good.
That was recommended by a booktuber I follow.  It's on my TBR.
