And here's a visit to my basement lair/workshop.

Tile storage, looking remarkably tidy.

Why yes, I do sometimes watch Law & Order (or baseball) while working. Through the window in the upper left I can sometimes see the feet of people walking by. Please don't ever hunker down and wave at me if you're in the neighborhood; I'd probably keel right over.

You'll see that I have resisted the temptation to tile the gas meter. The black things on the shelves are trays from frozen dinners; they're great for mixing grout. The spinning paint rack on the left is meant to stand up, but with the lack of clear horizontal space, it's hanging from a hook.

Brushes, sticks, paint, etc. That desk lamp is from the Sally Ann--its gooseneck was so ineffective that I had to bucky it up with a splint made from gaff tape and a scrap piece of quarter-round.

Box in progress.

Here's that box completed, bee-tee-dubs.

Sgt. Max Greevey sometimes supervises from the comfort of the clean laundry at the other end of the basement.

Very cool. Thanks for sharing your space.  I love the bright red and blue box.

After going through the thread (very quickly) I have 2 questions:

1) Do you have an online store (Etsy?)?

2) Would you maybe ship to Canadia?
Not helping the situation since 1979.

1.  I do not.  For various reasons.

2.  Sure!  I've shipped to Shveeden, so why not Canadia?  You interested in something in particular?  (Hush, you.)

Some more B&A.

I bought two identical boxes at the thrift store, and gave them two different treatments.

Wow. Awesome work. They all look delicious when you're done!
I especially like the little green mirror and the little yellow clock.
In fact, how much is that little yellow clock?

Why, thank you, my dear.

I especially like the little green mirror and the little yellow clock.

Two different approaches on those two pieces, as I think I was telling you.  With the mirror, I had no design planned.  I worked around the edge of the mirror with the small cuts, then tried something funky in the corners, then connected them and filled in.  With the clock, after I eradicated that country duck, there was a lot of space there, and I decided to do that sort of fountain effect to support the clock face; I measured to find the center line, then traced the curves from the edge of a lid from a yogurt tub (I use them for paint palettes).  :)

The clock is actually **squints** orange.  Does it look any more orange here?

In fact, how much is that little yellow clock?

This is your lucky day, shopper!  That clock is still in inventory, priced at $18.00 before the skeptical discount!

Which one?  The first one, the big color wheel clock?  One of my favorites.  Bought it for four bucks at Goodwill, and it sat in the basement for something like three years before I figured out what to do with it.  It was huge, like three feet tall.
